Transition Programs - GenR8 andAllevE8. (Available for Year 11 Students 2017)
Year 11 students and parents are encouraged to attend and
learn about our programs, what opportunities are available and most importantly
meet and network with our 2017 participating program employers.
- The programs are industry-demand driven and designed to
engage youth and create employment pathways for Year 12 students.
- From an industry and business
perspective, the programs are a strategic recruitment model designed to
address labour and skill shortages in key industry sectors and address an
ageing workforce through youth engagement.
- Students will receive a
combination of accredited training, mentoring and 20 days of structured
work placement over a 20 week period.
- Upon completion successful
students will receive a Certificate II qualification, up to 6 QCE points
and most importantly will have developed industry valued employability
skills and will have increased employment opportunities post Year 12.
Student Eligibility
The programs have limited places and
students are invited to apply and will be selected on merit, based on their
ability to:-
- Complete a Certificate II
Qualification
- Submit a completed Expression
of Interest (CLICK HERE)
- Submit a School Reference
- Ability to perform work
placement tasks as outlined by our program employers
- Undertake a pre-selection
informal interview with our program employers
