Maleny State High School Parents’ and Citizens’ Association (P&C)

P & C welcome

The P&C is the representative body of the parents and interested citizens of our school community. The P&C interacts with the school administration and other key personnel to ensure that the channels of communication are kept open. As the voice of the parents, the P&C can seek clarification and express responsible opinions on school policies, and have an involvement in school development.
In addition to this participation, the P&C has an active fund raising role which is aimed to enhance the wider curriculum and to promote the positive aspects of school life.
P & C meetings
The Maleny State High School P&C usually meets on the third Thursday of each month during school terms. The meeting starts at 6.00pm and concludes no later than 9.30pm. The venue for meetings is the Conference Room in the Administration Building.
Getting involved with your school’s P & C
We are a group of parents and community members who believe in the importance of maintaining a strong parent - school relationship and who are prepared to commit the time to work for this. We believe that opportunities for student learning benefit where there is a productive and encouraging relationship between a school and its community. We are always very keen to welcome new members so anyone can feel free to contact any of us about joining. If you want a more informative explanation of what is happening at your child’s school then this is the way to do it. The Principal and Deputy Principals, together with staff members and the occasional invited guests attend the meetings. It’s a small commitment for a very satisfying result, and can be a lot of fun as part of a great team.
