Student Resource Scheme (SRS)
Maleny State High School operates a Student Resource Scheme to give families a convenient, cost-effective way to access the textbooks, classroom consumables and other learning resources students need. Participation is optional—families who opt out supply all listed items themselves.
What’s included
The SRS may cover:
Hired items (e.g. textbooks, instruments, devices where applicable)
Consumables (e.g. art materials, printing)
Student-owned items (e.g. calculator, headphones)
An itemised inclusions list and annual fees are published each year and endorsed by our P&C Association.
Participation & fees
For Years 7–12, the Textbook and Resource Allowance (TRA) is applied to reduce SRS fees.
If you do not participate, the TRA can be paid to you upon request.
Complete the SRS Participation Agreement for each student to join (or to opt out).
Payments
QParents is our primary and preferred payment method. Please pay SRS invoices through QParents.
If you’re unable to use QParents, contact the school office to arrange an alternative (e.g. BPAY, EFTPOS, Centrepay).
Support & refunds
We don’t want any student disadvantaged. Confidential payment plans and, where appropriate, partial or full fee waivers are available—please speak with the Business Manager.
If a student leaves during the year, pro-rata refunds may apply, less any costs for damaged or unreturned hire items.
If you have questions about inclusions, fees or payments, please contact the Maleny SHS office—we’re here to help.
